"When all the trees have been cut down, when all the animals have been hunted, when all the waters are polluted, when all the air is unsafe to breathe, only then will you discover you cannot eat money." |
But please don't misunderstand what iEntrepreneur's
mission is: we are not about condemning the existing capitalist system and the
'evil' corporations that profit unfairly from it, hugging (or chaining
ourselves!) to trees and not proposing any real solutions to the
problems our society faces, but in fact contributing to the increasing
polarisation and animosity between big business and 'greens'.
We are of
the humble, 'common sense' opinion that to continue running businesses based on
a short-term profit
motivation rather than sustained and sustainable value
creation for the business
and all its stakeholders that include its customers, employees, suppliers and
partners, shareholders and society at large, is unsustainable and in the long run, suicidal for our species, homo sapiens (in which case,
the 'wise man' moniker we have given ourselves will be
shown to be complete arrogance and self-delusion of the highest order - the
supposedly 'dumb' dinosaurs managed to reign on earth for hundreds of millions
of years and we'll have lasted only about 250,000 years and perhaps only 30,000
as the dominant species).
We, along with many other
leading thinkers on this planet, are also of the humble opinion, that
the only way we can begin
solving the massive problems that beset humanity and the potentially
terminal threat to our continued existence as a species is through a more enlightened way of
doing business , because it is business that has shaped the world in
which we live over the last few centuries and created many of the problems we now
face as a species, and so it is through a new breed of entrepreneurs and the new sustainable businesses
they create that many of these problems can, and we believe will, be
solved.
But as
the great scientist and sage, Albert Einstein,
remarked:
|
"The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them." |
Therefore, we believe in order to
solve the problems created by industrial-age capitalism, we
must as a species adopt a new paradigm of
'Inspired
Capitalism' and
train a new wave of inspired entrepreneurs to
understand this paradigm and successfully create and
run their businesses based on it. And so the primary focus of
iEntrepreneur is the education, training, mentoring and inspiring
of this new breed of inspired entrepreneurs operating at every level
of business in order to spread the principles and practices of Inspired
Capitalism and most importantly, the consciousness from which it naturally
stems, and make it into the dominant paradigm driving business and society
forward on this planet. In case you are wondering, the 'i' in
iEntrepreneur' stands for 'inspired', 'inspiring' and
'information', and 'Entrepreneur' is both a noun and a
verb, symbolising the constant synergistic relationship
between being and doing
that is
the essence of enlightened entrepreneurship.
THE iENTREPRENEUR JOURNEY
|
|
|
The
iEntrepreneur training is a profound experiential
transformation process
based on 8
archetypal stages in a 'Hero's Journey', as laid out in a book written by Phil Cousineau
based on the
life and work of
Joseph Campbell. It will take anyone who decides to embark on it
on the most profound journey of their lives over a number of years, a
journey that will help them discover who
they really are and
the
real purpose of business and life
while in
the process of building and running a business and creating
true wealth for themselves and their customers, employees, partners, investors,
society and humanity.
At the end of this journey, they will be the
modern equivalents of the ancient
master alchemists, who could reputedly turn lead into goldusing the power of their
minds, as they will have taken the
'leaden'circumstances of their
lives and businesses before the training and turned them into a golden flow of abundance that blesses not only them, but everyone associated
with them and contributes to the
upliftment of our whole
society and our sustained
existence as a species on this planet.
The inner spiritual journey
an entrepreneur on the journey takes will be complemented by their
outer journey of creating and developing a business, so the training will also teach
very practical processes that the entrepreneurial master in training can
implement in their businesses, and iEntrepreneur will offer assistance and
advice in implementing systems that enable these processes to happen
efficiently and effectively in the person's business, which includes a
powerful Enterprise Resource
Planning system that incorporates a
system for corporate
performance measurement and management
based on values and the way values are acted out by employees working in the business
called the 'Inspired Capital Index'
system developed by iEntrepreneur's founder,
Jonathan
Quail. This system will
include online education and training tools and resources to support the
Journey process, including a powerful 'Stakeholder Relationship
Management' game that will help its players to
experientially learn the power of this management philosophy and methodology as
opposed to the traditional management approach of
maximising profit for shareholders at all costs to the detriment of other stakeholders and
ultimately, the shareholders as well.
| After finishing matric at King Edward VII School
(KES) in Johannesburg, Jonathan studied Business Science at
the University of Cape Town, majoring in Finance, Accountancy and
Business Strategy. But Jonathan was a good squash player and
had a dream of being world champion in squash, so he became
a professional squash player after graduating from
U.C.T. and went to the U.K. for nearly 3 years to pursue this dream,
and traveled quite extensively during that time to play tournaments in the
UK, Europe and Africa. In 1999, Jonathan returned to South Africa and started Quirk Solutions, a web development and marketing business with his sister before moving on to focus on building Lifebuild, which he co-founded with an old school friend in 2003. Since 2005, he has spoken for and trained people in organisations such as SA Rugby, Old Mutual, Sun International, SuperGroup and Momentum as well as many smaller companies on how to overcome fear and 'ride the wild tiger' of life and business. He has also created and delivered many seminars and workshops for individuals wanting to transform their lives. Jonathan's life and business experience combined with his natural enthusiasm and talent for teaching has resulted in his becoming an accomplished speaker, trainer, life coach and entrepreneur able to inspire people with a passion for life and life-affirming higher values that are the foundation for achieving excellence and true success. |

"Wealth is what you have when you lose all your money." |
|
"Entrepreneurship is the art of doing the impossible with impossible resources." |
With
iEntrepreneur as your guide and partner in entrepreneurial success, true
success as an entrepreneur at whatever level you are playing the game of business can become not
only possible, but in fact, inevitable. You may not believe
this now, but going through the 'Journey' training will teach you how success is in fact
inevitable when
you know you are already the success and how you can develop
this 'knowingness' in your own mind
and heart until it is a completely unshakeable conviction and
you have become 'the master of your fate, the captain of your
soul', as the poet Henley put it so well.
For more information about the
iEntrepreneur training 'Journey', the
first one of which will start early in 2012
, click
here and send the
email that pops up and we'll contact you with more details about it closer to
the time. The first step in changing anything in your life is merely a decision
to do so and then the action that gives effect to the decision. You could email
us now and take the first step on the 'high road'
, a journey into the
unknown to explore your own infinite potential, or choose the 'low road' of staying in the
comfort zone of doing what you always do, getting
the same results over and over again and being frustrated when your expectations
of success are not met, which Einstein quite rightly said is the definition of
insanity.
We look forward to meeting you soon on 'the
Journey' that is iEntrepreneurship next year and as our friend,
motivational speaker Robin Banks,
likes to say, 'Don't forget to be awesome!' in the
mean time!
